Description

A client of ours is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Specialist for a 6-month+ contract role. This position will support the full supply chain process—from sourcing and procurement to inventory, logistics, and supplier coordination. Your main goal will be to help ensure products and materials flow efficiently, meet customer needs, and support operational success. Please apply today for immediate consideration!

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing Support:

+ Assist in sourcing reliable suppliers and managing vendor relationships.

+ Help review, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts.

+ Coordinate with legal and internal teams to ensure contracts meet business needs.

+ Participate in requests for proposals (RFPs) and quotes (RFQs).

+ Maintain records, ensure proper vendor documentation, and help avoid duplicate vendors.

Inventory Management

+ Track inventory levels and help maintain the right stock at the right time.

+ Support inventory control strategies to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Logistics & Transportation

+ Coordinate shipments and assist with tracking deliveries.

+ Work with logistics staff to manage freight, carriers, and transportation schedules.

Supplier Relationship Management

+ Help maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.

+ Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance.

General Duties:

+ Support cross-functional collaboration for demand planning and forecasting.

+ Assist with receiving goods and monitoring open purchase orders.

+ Coordinate with Accounts Payable and suppliers to address purchase order changes.

+ Help streamline processes for ordering, procurement, and product delivery.

+ Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and support risk management strategies.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

+ Previous experience in a supply chain, procurement, or logistics support role.

+ Familiarity with supply chain systems such as ERP or inventory software.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

+ Effective communicator who can collaborate with various departments and vendors.

+ Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

+ Knowledge of international shipping or customs is a plus.

+ Professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are a bonus but not required.
