Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Brooklyn, New York. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate reporting. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic CPA firm environment, contributing to essential accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Reconcile accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank transactions.

• Process invoices and payments while managing the accounts payable and receivable functions.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.

• Prepare month-end financial reports and assist with closing procedures.

• Handle payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data effectively.

• Perform detailed data entry to maintain organized and accurate records.

• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve accounting issues. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and managing accounts payable and receivable.

• Skilled in using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for financial tasks.

• Familiarity with payroll processing and month-end closing procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.

• Prior experience in a CPA firm or similar environment preferred.
