Description Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accounts payable professionals, provide performance feedback, and foster detail oriented development within the department. Process Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Expense Management: Manage vendor relationships, resolve payment discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms to enhance cash flow and maximize savings. System Oversight: Oversee accounts payable systems and tools, ensuring accurate data entry, streamlining processes, and recommending technology upgrades when necessary. Reporting and Reconciliation: Prepare financial reports related to AP, monitor key metrics, and reconcile AP general ledger accounts on a regular basis. Compliance: Ensure all AP processes adhere to internal controls, SOX compliance (if applicable), and audit requirements. Policy Implementation: Establish and maintain AP policies and procedures to drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, accounting, and FP& A, to ensure accurate recording and timely processing of expenses. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AP software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with automated AP processes is a plus. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and resolve complex issues. Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
