• Nurse Extern II PRN

    The Student Nurse Extern (SNE) will perform clinical duties under the direction of a skilled Registered Nurse Preceptor, performs specific nursing functions of patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The SNE will have competencies completed through a competency checklist from their nursing program.

    Reports to: Registered Nurse Preceptor, Department Director, Chief Nursing Officer

    *Minimum Education*

    Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program. If enrolled in an AS program, must be a second-year student. If enrolled in the BSN program, must be 3rd or 4th semester to be eligible.

    *Required Skills*

    Requires critical thinking skills, time management skills. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

    *Required Certifications*

    Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days from date of hire.
