Position Title: Associate Director, Senior Platform Lead (Rockville, MD)
Responsibilities:
Lead the Otsuka platform team by providing operational and program delivery support across technology initiatives and solutions within their platform area. Responsible for overseeing and contributing to the technical execution of the roadmap as well as maintaining and enhancing the existing productions solution in their platform domain. Core Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
+ Platform Strategist: Working closely with the IT Business Partner, plan and develop the technical and architectural components of the capability roadmap in support of new business strategies and functional requirements. Review, analyze, and evaluate new opportunities to improve, develop or integrate new technical capabilities into the end-to-end clinical development process and associated platforms/eco-systems. Ensure solutions being planned, take global needs into accounts, architecturally flexible to extend to related business areas, and are not overly complex. Solutions should be maintainable and supportable.
+ Platform Implementation Technical Lead: Provide technical leadership for the new capability projects across assigned areas (internal, contractors, manage service providers, and software vendors); work hand-in-hand with the system delivery teams to reduce project risks, improve quality, assign/onboard resources, and expedite delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions; ensure system design is aligned with the business needs, are scalable, sustainable, supportable, and have life cycle management plans (architecturally sound). Collaborate with shared services within IT to improve processes and methodologies for capability enablement and delivery. Help bridge gaps and hand-offs issues between requirements/functional resources, development teams, and project leadership / sponsorship.
+ Platform Support Lead: Build and manage working relationships with managed outsourced service providers. Actively work with MSP to track, monitor and devise action plans to address incidents and problems occurring in their domain. Identify emerging or existing risks in applications and plan on ways to prevent them.
+ Platform Budget Planning: Support Business Partner and area Technical Lead with operational and project costs, including but not limited, to development/configuration work effort and timelines, hosting costs, and licenses fees.
+ Subject Matter Resource: Communicate complex technical information to senior management and business stakeholders. Participate in various forums, conferences, and working groups to bring thought-capital and leading practices to the organization. Actively seek and drive opportunities for continuous improvement of applications.
+ Team leader: Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional direction to colleagues. Build and actively drive environment for well-balanced, healthy and prosperous working environment.
Minimum Requirements** **:
+ Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
+ Ten (10) years of experience providing solutions for business, developing, and managing implementation of global platforms with three (3) years in Life Sciences.
+ Ten (10) years of experience working with globally distributed business and IT teams.
+ Five (5) years of experience delivering solutions using Agile methodologies, Project Management, IT SDLC and DevOps framework.
+ Five (5) years of experience with analytics, BI, and data modeling.
+ Five (5) years of experience with creating, evaluating, recommending business cases in addition to developing business and technical value realization framework.
+ Five (5) years of experience with Operational Excellence, including Continuous Improvement, Project or Technical Management, Change Management methodology, financial/budget and contract management.
**Compensation:** $200,000 - $225,000 annually + benefits package (employer provided insurance, paid time off, 401(k), etc.)

Minimum $164,530.00 - Maximum $245,985.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting salary for candidates hired to perform the work. Other elements may be used to determine actual salary such as the candidate’s job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role.
