Overview Technical Skills: • Advanced understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). • Strong expertise in SQL, Python for data processing and analytics. • Experience with ETL development and administration using Microsoft SSIS. • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services such as BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc and with Apache Airflow. • Experience mapping and ingesting data from databases, files, API calls, and cloud platforms. • Experience optimizing queries in reporting tools such as SQL Server Management Studio and BigQuery. • Ability to analyze and tune ETL/ELT, database and Lakehouse environments for optimal performance and cost efficiency. • Experience in a Healthcare IT or Analytics environment. • Experience with Epic Clarity database and Epic Cogito Data Warehouse. • Advanced understanding of columnar databases, relational database normalization, and Snowflake schema. • Basic knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication, implementing operational automation. • Ability to detect and troubleshoot Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention, understand complex data models from relational and non-relational data stores. • Strong creative thinking and critical problem-solving skills. Communication: • Effective written & verbal communications skills, strong customer service skills, collaborate with team members and customers and effectively set expectations. • Contribute to technical discussions and present data architecture diagrams and process documents for validation. Responsibilities Job Summary As a member of HonorHealth,the Database & ETL Admin II is responsible for data integration into the organization's reporting databases and Google Cloud Platform data stores. The Database & ETL Admin II develops and maintains pipelines using Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Extract Load Transform (ELT) methods and Google Cloud Platform tools, Python scripts, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SOAP and REST API calls. The Database & ETL Admin II designs databases and Google BigQuery datasets and creates objects, data mappings and transformations, creates and schedules batch and real-time data processing jobs, performs troubleshooting, monitoring and upgrading of systems. The Database & ETL Admin II resolves data quality and system performance issue, implements metrics to track data quality improvements over time, enhances current processes and systems, and provides guidance, mentoring, and training. The Database & ETL Admin II participates in a support on-call rotation facilitating off-hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, and project task fulfillment. Develops, maintains and monitors data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to collect, transform and process datasets. Administers user access to databases, Cloud data stores, and maintains environment security. Creates database tables, functions, views, queries, scripting, indexes as necessary for data integration and performance. Ensures proper system monitoring is in place to validate and report the reliability of data loaded to the data stores. Creates and maintains documentation representing the databases and Lakehouse environment architecture and develops future-state requirements for said environments. Completes Governance & project job assignments to ensure achievement of established project milestones. Communicates, prioritizes and responds promptly based on severity levels to needs of the customer. Proactively or timely recognizes opportunities for service recovery and acts to resolve issues. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline or four (4) years equivalent experience Required Experience 3 years of experience in database or data warehouse, or Lakehouse administration. Required 1 year in a MS SQL Server or Cloud Platform environment. Required 1 year experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes. Required
