Responsible for proactively analyzing and making recommendations considering customer value-based marketing, competitive markets, and company costs affecting the business plans and profitability across the division. Will collect, analyze and evaluate data supporting divisions' price to resistance strategy and process pricing and quoting activity. Works with current and potential customers, the sales/marketing team, and new business development teams to developing winning pricing strategies for new and existing products to drive sales growth.
Reports to the North American Pricing Manager. Interaction with multiple selling locations and division staff, pricing managers, sales staff, and corporate pricing. Will interact with distribution and OEM customers in regions in and outside of the United States.
+ Responsible for design and implementation of continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to eliminate waste and improve process.
+ Works with IT staff in design and implementation of systems and reporting improvements for measuring and monitoring pricing effectiveness and efficiency.
+ Assists in analyzing division product markets determining the ceiling and floor prices of products. Evaluates cause and effect with pricing, volume, cost, competition, distribution and segmentation. Recommends appropriate levels.
+ Monitors and keeps divisions focused on corporate strategic pricing initiatives.
+ Responsible for creating and reinforcing continuous feedback vehicles to encourage successful pricing models.
+ Responsible for implementation of tools to be used by product managers and field sales.
+ Assists divisions in determining appropriate list prices, standard discounts and rebates and managing any
+ restructuring, updating, communication and publication of price increases.
+ Analyzing the exception pricing process by recommending guidelines, authority levels and maintaining a disciplined and structured approach to exception pricing.
+ Provides management with reports which allows management to effectively respond to changing economic conditions and market changes.
+ Performs ongoing measurements and reporting on pricing effectiveness.
+ Other duties as may be assigned.
+ Performs regular review of all pricing rules, guidelines, and effectiveness.
+ Provides management with monthly metrics including win/loss tracking, quote variance to guidelines, sell price trends, speed to quote, etc.
Qualifications
+ 4-year college degree required
+ 0-2+ years’ experience in pricing required.
+ Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel
+ Must be able to travel by car overnight up to 20% of time; or as required.
+ Must be able to travel by plane as required.
+ Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status

+ An analytical and data-driven thinker, who can quickly analyze sales-related data i.e. quotes, forecasts, sales funnels etc.
