    Reports to: Nicole Porter

     

    Effective Date: 05/29/2025

     

    Job Status: Full Time

     

    FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

     

    Work Schedule: 1st Shift (Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd)

     

    Travel Requirements: 0-25%

    Job Summary:

    The Technical Training Manger is a professional who is responsible for identifying and assessing training needs within the organization, developing training plans for hourly team members, and implementing various training methods to enhance hourly team members skills and performance at the facility. This role focuses primarily on our production team members performance, skills and needs in the production area. This role also, provides support to the Human Resources Director, General Manager, Supporting Department Managers, Union and Hourly Team Members.

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Develop and supervise a staff of trainers: set goals and standards, train and mentor, evaluate performance, and oversee their daily operations. Track new hires progress and onboarding experience.

    + Consult with internal areas on potential training needs; work directly with internal customers to develop new training programs and determine resources.

    + Actively solicit feedback on training programs, and resolve issues elevated from internal customers regarding the delivery/quality of training programs.

    + Establish and maintain processes and procedures that ensure smooth delivery of classroom training, including scheduling, instructor notes for all training programs, creating and updating training manuals, etc.

    + Generate reports on training-related topics at management's request

    + Develop and implement retention initiatives at the plant level

    + Evaluating individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance.

    + Work side by side with the operations team and be able to learn product specs.

    + Design, plan, organize, or direct orientation and training programs for new and current supervisors and managers.

    + Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.

    + Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, 10-key or related software.

    + Solid time-management and project-management skills

    + Excellent Attendance (Internal candidates must have less than 4 points).

    + Ability to work 6 days a week.

    + Ability to be flexible with schedule when needed.

    + Ability to Motivate and Challenge team members in a positive manner.

    + Ability to lead and manage conflict effectively

    + Ability to be creative

    + Must be able to work full or partials night shifts (at least 25%-50%)

    + Must spend 70% of overall day on the production floors

    + Must have self-initiative and courage to challenge operations team on issues and see them thru towards resolution

    Preferred Skills/Abilities:

    + Bilingual (Spanish, French, Creole, Burmese)

    + Ability to work with SAP System

    + Ability to work with Kronos Systems

    + Ability to work with Alchemy Learning Systems

    + Ability to work in Litmus Learning Systems

    Education and Experience:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Associates/Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred but not required) or Equivalent Work Experience.

    + Must have Protein Manufacturing floor experience.

    + 3-5 years supervisory or production experience

    + Must know how to sharpen and use knife

    Physical Requirements:

    + Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    + Climbing stairs.

    + Regular Visits to Production Floor: Hot, Cold, Smells, PPE Required

    Pay Range

    + $58,015-$70,488/Year

    + Annual bonus potential
