    Summary

    SHRM is seeking a visionary Vice President of Business Intelligence to lead our BI initiatives, manage a 16-person team, and take full responsibility for our voice-of-the-customer programs and all market research activities. This role is instrumental in transforming our BI capabilities to support strategic decision-making and enhance our understanding of member needs, enabling us to serve both our B2C and B2B segments more effectively.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead a 16-person BI team, setting the direction for business intelligence, market research, and voice-of-the-customer initiatives within SHRM.

    + Strategically develop and oversee the implementation of an advanced BI infrastructure, facilitating the transition to dynamic data portals for real-time analytics.

    + Full ownership of voice-of-the-customer programs, designing and executing strategies to gather, analyze, and act on customer feedback across all touchpoints.

    + Direct all market research efforts, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of market trends, member needs, and competitive dynamics to inform business strategy.

    + Employ advanced data analytics, including predictive modeling and machine learning, to deepen insights into customer behavior and preferences.

    + Champion a data-driven culture across the organization, leveraging insights to drive product innovation, personalized content, and member engagement.

    + Innovate and execute data monetization strategies, aligning with SHRM’s mission and enhancing value to our members.

    + Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of BI and market research initiatives with overall business goals.

    + Stay at the forefront of industry trends in business intelligence, analytics, and customer research, continuously improving our capabilities and offerings.

     

    Education & Experience Requirements

    Education:

    + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

    Experience:

    + At least 10 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, including managing sizeable teams and overseeing voice-of-the-customer and market research programs.

    + Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing BI strategies, voice-of-the-customer programs, and comprehensive market research.

    + Prior experience in a B2C and B2B environment, with a deep understanding of data monetization and customer engagement strategies.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    + Ability to effectively leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve overall work quality.

    + Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), databases (SQL, NoSQL), and programming languages (Python, R).

    + Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong leadership and communication abilities, capable of inspiring a team and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

    Physical Requirements

    This position operates in a typical office environment and requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements may include:

     

    + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    + Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and using office equipment.

    + Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds as needed.

    + Clear verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and stakeholders.

     

    Work Environment

    Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote):

    + This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00AM – 9:00AM and concluding between 5:00PM – 6:00PM.

    **Travel:** 0 – 10%

    _The hiring range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
