RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Collaborate with colleagues and utilize various curriculum resources to create objective-based lessons aligned to current NYS learning standards.

+ Actively engage students in the delivery of high-quality instruction.

+ Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all students.

+ Utilize data to inform instructional decisions.

+ Establish a supportive classroom environment that provides for the social-emotional learning of all students.

+ Grade student work and maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades.

+ Effectively communicate with parents and students regarding academic progress.

+ Attend required meetings and participate in professional development opportunities.

+ Provide instruction that reflects the diverse educational, cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.

Job Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must possess or be eligible for New York State Certification in Earth Science

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

+ New York State Certification in Bilingual Extension
