Job Title : Associate Scientist

Location : Princeton, NJ

Hours/Schedule : 8:30am-4:30pm

Type: Contract – 6 months (with possible extension up to 1 year)

Overview

Our client in the CPG industry is seeking an Associate Scientist to join their team. This role provides support to the Sexual Health and Women's Health businesses with the development of new compositions and product improvements. Responsibilities

+ Making and testing products in the lab that fall under the sexual and women’s health brands with minimal supervision.

+ Conduct data analysis following test methods (no method development, methods are already developed.)

+ Perform design of experiments

+ Perform testing and analysis according to procedure and make lab prototypes

+ Assemble prototypes, measure latex in the lab, and perform dip testing stick samples (all standard testing - no biohazardous testing)

Requirements

+ BS/MS in Chemistry, Formulation Science, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related sciences (industry experience gained from internships, or co-ops a plus)

+ Minimum 2-4 years of experience in personal care or cosmetic sciences

+ Experience working in a scientific laboratory setting and comfort using various forms of instrumentation (i.e., benchtop / analytical instrumentation like lab mixer, pH meter, viscometer, tensile tester, etc.)

+ Experience with Airburst testing a plus

+ Proficient in MS Suite (MS Office, Outlook, Teams, and Excel)

+ Capable of working remotely if needed (performing data analysis, competitive product counting)

+ Must be comfortable working with the Sexual Health group
