BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions
catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.
This role will be part of the BASF Americas Chemical Catalyst and Adsorbent sales team, with a strong focus on driving growth across North America. We are seeking a dynamic professional like you to harness your engineering background and commercial acumen to accelerate our market expansion.

+ Developing and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
+ Identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts and pursue upselling or cross-selling strategies.
+ Proactively seeking out and identify new business opportunities with non-existing clients through market research and networking, focusing on innovative lead development strategies to generate new business.
+ Collaborating with marketing and technical teams to align offerings with client needs and market trends.
+ Aligning profitable pricing strategies in collaboration with the marketing and product management teams.
+ Preparing and deliver presentations and proposals to clients, showcasing products and services.
+ Monitoring and analyze account performance metrics, providing regular reports to management.
+ Negotiating contract terms and pricing with clients to maximize profitability while meeting customer expectations.
+ Conducting regular check-ins and follow-ups to address client concerns and feedback.
+ Staying informed about industry developments, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform strategy.
+ Coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services to clients.
+ Participating in trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the company's offerings and expand the client base.

+ Hold Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred, or related field.
+ Have minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial account management or sales, preferably in the chemical industry.
+ Hold proven track record of managing large accounts and driving business growth.
+ Have strong technical understanding of chemical production processes.
+ Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
+ Are able to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop strategic sales plans.
+ Are proficiency in MS Office, CRM software and other sales management tools.
+ Have strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to effectively address client issues.
+ Are willing to travel up to 50% of the time for client meetings and industry events as needed.
+ Hold experience in catalysts or related industries to enhance client engagement and technical understanding, preferred.
+ Have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
