Sr. Accountant – Food & Beverage Manufacturing
Our client, a leader in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in financial operations while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the company’s continued growth and success.
Position Overview
As a Sr. Accountant, you will oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies. You will manage the general ledger, lead the month-end close process, and provide insightful financial analysis. This role also includes mentoring at least one Staff Accountant and driving process improvements across accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
+ Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial statements with a focus on accuracy and integrity.
+ Lead the general ledger and month-end close process, including account analysis and reconciliations.
+ Analyze financial data, trends, and variances related to costs, revenues, and cash flow.
+ Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
+ Monitor inventory levels, accounts receivable aging, and supplier balances.
+ Post daily and monthly transactions to maintain accurate general ledger records.
+ Ensure the integrity of financial systems and interfaces with other business applications.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
+ Stay current with GAAP and ensure ongoing compliance.
+ Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial reporting as requested by management.
Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
+ Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
+ Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred:
+ Supervisory or team leadership experience (required if under 5 years of accounting experience).
+ 3+ years in public accounting, audit, or assurance.
+ Experience with ERP systems and financial process optimization.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
