    Job Title: Accounts Payable ClerkJob Description

     

    The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the timely entry of vendor invoices and payment processing, along with miscellaneous accounts payable and administrative duties as assigned. The role requires handling busy periods with up to 500-600 invoices that need to be keyed in, matching invoices to purchase orders, printing AP reports, and preparing checks for payment.

    Responsibilities

    + Enter vendor invoices and process payments efficiently and accurately.

    + Match invoices to purchase orders to ensure correctness.

    + Print AP reports and prepare checks for payment.

    + Contact vendors regarding errors on invoices.

    + Perform filing and organizational tasks.

    + Backup administrative assistance with answering phones and directing walk-in visitors.

    + Obtain Certificates of Liability/Unemployment Insurances for subcontractors.

    + Obtain W-9 Certificates for all vendors.

    + Prepare and verify lien waivers as necessary.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

    + Experience with administrative support tasks.

    + Familiarity with Sage accounting software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to handle high volumes of invoice processing.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent communication skills for vendor interaction.

    Work Environment

    The position operates Monday through Friday and involves helping cover the front desk when the receptionist is out to lunch or out of the office. The work environment is within the construction industry, requiring someone with a personable demeanor to interact effectively with clientele.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $54080.00/yr.
