    Salary: $54,000-$60,000 annual salary

    Paul Smith’s College is a private, four-year institution with approximately 750 students in both undergraduate and graduate programs.     Position Description:

    Paul Smith’s College is seeking qualified candidates who are effective and enthusiastic professors in English Composition to join our faculty beginning the Fall 2025 semester. The successful candidate will have experience instructing the foundations of effective written communication, composition, the research process, technical writing, revision, and editing. Additionally, candidates are welcomed who have interest or experience in environmentally themed writing including essays, fiction, news reporting and feature writing. Course assignments may include English Composition I and II, Technical Communications, Mass Communication, Journalism, Reporting and Writing Environmental News and other related courses. The position will include course assessment, student mentoring during office hours, and collaborating with faculty and staff to improve student learning.

    Qualifications and Preferences:

    + College-level teaching experience in English Composition and related subjects.

    + Graduate degree in a relevant field.

    + Ability to work with a broad range of diverse individuals and groups to form a safe and inclusive campus community.
