Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for tracking and managing customer accounts, focusing on resolving overdue accounts and negotiating payment plans. The role involves using Excel and Sage Intacct to record progress and interact with internal teams and customers.
Responsibilities
+ Track efforts on a customer-by-customer basis using Excel, recording progress on overdue accounts.
+ Identify customers with over 90-day overdue accounts and place them on a hard hold.
+ Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding overdue payments and payment plans.
+ Negotiate and propose payment plans for overdue accounts.
+ Work with Accounts Receivable, Sales, and Customer Care teams to resolve overdue accounts.
+ Establish requirements for taking new orders from customers with overdue accounts.
Essential Skills
+ 5-10 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, and Cash Application.
+ Proficiency in AR research, accounting, aging reports, deduction management, credit management, dispute resolution, reconciliation, and payment posting.
+ Experience with Oracle, SAP, Sage Intacct, and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
+ Strong communication and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to handle complex customer interactions and resolve disputes effectively.
Work Environment
This role is a hybrid position requiring three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in a beautiful office located on the 4th floor. The office is conveniently located near various stores and offers a collaborative environment with a 25-person Accounting team. Working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. The role is an opportunity to clean up accounts receivable and work with some of the industry's best leaders.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
