    _Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant._

     

    **Sign-On Bonus for Eligible New Hires**

    **Work location:** 400 West Arbrook Suite 300 Arlington TX 76104

    **Work hours:** Full Time, 40 hours weekly. Monday-Friday 7:15am-4:15pm

    Here’s What You Need:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)

    + One (1) Year of Medical Assistant experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

    + CMA – Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)

    + ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED

    + Bilingual in Spanish/English (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

    What You Will Do:

    + Perform EKGs, draw blood, and administer injections as needed by assigned clinic.

    + Effectively communicate to staff and patients.

    + Demonstrate knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.

    + Have a thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations.

    + Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.

    + Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards patients.

    + Have good computer skills using a medical management application.

    + Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.

    + Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures

    + Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.

    + Obtain and record vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.

    + Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.

    + May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as well as perform routine tests such as EKG.

    + Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follows up to ensure completion of testing.
