    Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

    Job Description

    The Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting customers by ensuring the provision of safe and clean equipment for export shipments. This position involves managing container transportation to load ports, responsibly handling costs, and collaborating closely with team members and other departments to achieve company goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage equipment costs through effective interactions with customer load sites, railroads, container storage facilities, trucking companies, and ocean terminals.

    + Coordinate export loads with trucking companies and load sites.

    + Build relationships with industry partners to enable strong negotiations and supplier management.

    + Manage and maintain necessary container inventory levels, including forecasting incoming supply and demand up to six weeks in advance.

    + Monitor and communicate export shipment status and proactively resolve anticipated service failures.

    + Maintain strong communication channels with internal groups such as Customer Service, Sales & Marketing, Accounting, Vessel Operations, and Pricing.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in logistics, shipping, transportation, and documentation.

    + Ability to handle high volume email correspondence, discerning between important and reference emails.

    + Minimum of three years of experience in business or transportation (transportation, logistics, import/export, etc.).

    + Strong interpersonal and teaming skills.

    + Ability to work independently on projects and demonstrate self-motivation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or related field is preferred.

    + Interest in pursuing a career in logistics or transportation.

    + Quick thinker and problem solver with solid soft skills.

    Work Environment

    The role is set in an office environment with around 60 people divided into 4-5 sections handling different portions of inbound and outbound freight. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, with potential for starting between 6am and 7am and occasional overtime for 9-10 hour shifts. Training is conducted onsite, with the possibility of remote work one day per week after getting up to speed.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.96 - $25.96/hr.
