Electrical Technician
Job Description
The Electrical Technician will play a crucial role in installing electrical components within equipment enclosures. This position involves assisting with the assembly, installation, wiring, and testing of electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Install electrical components in equipment enclosures.
+ Assist with assembly, installation, and wiring of electrical equipment.
+ Help connect wiring and equipment according to code and job specifications.
+ Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, and hanging.
+ Assist with installing light fixtures and switches.
+ Maintain a good working knowledge of hand tools.
+ Communicate effectively and demonstrate good listening skills.
+ Ensure general cleanliness in the work area.
+ Adhere to safety standards and follow local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Perform any other tasks as required.
Essential Skills
+ Knowledge of basic electrical materials such as C-boxes, conduit, fittings, wire size, and fasteners.
+ Proficiency in using electrical hand tools.
+ Basic safety and math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure.
+ Ability to bend conduit (3/4” and 1/2”).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Level 2: Knowledge of electrical theory one, trade math, and ability to read basic electrical blueprint symbols. Ability to terminate devices correctly and bend conduit (1/2” to 1”).
+ Level 3: Knowledge of electrical theory two, ability to read blueprints, basic NEC Electrical code knowledge, and overcurrent protection devices. Ability to bend conduit (1/2” to 1-1/4”).
+ Level 4: Knowledge of electrical theory three, electrical code, and installation knowledge. Ability to interpret blueprint drawings and bend conduit (1/2” to 4”).

Work Environment
This role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50lbs repetitively. Work involves various conditions including tight or enclosed spaces and outdoor environments, with exposure to heat.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denison, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
