    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for preparing machines for shift start-up or product change, operating auxiliary equipment to produce various types and sizes of manufactured products, and ensuring quality and production goals are met. You will also perform troubleshooting on equipment as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor and perform operations of processing equipment for production with minimal supervision.

    + Assist higher-level operators and help train lower-level operators.

    + Use measuring equipment to ensure all quality specifications are met.

    + Operate material handling and processing equipment required for production and replenishment of raw materials.

    + Update CIP boards using the shop floor management system when necessary.

    + Identify and assist with malfunction repairs of equipment controls.

    + Communicate with process and tooling technicians for root cause analysis in the production process.

    + Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.

    + Check work stations for supply levels and transport materials to and from workstations.

    + Notify supervisor or material handler when supplies reach reorder levels.

    + Identify differences in raw material types and part numbers.

    + Test and inspect produced products to ensure they meet quality specifications.

    + Report products outside specifications to supervision or quality personnel.

    + Perform non-conforming product procedures and rework items not meeting quality standards.

    + Input accurate data into the quality control system.

    + Identify raw materials that do not meet quality requirements.

    + Participate in 6S activities, workshops, meetings, and cross-functional training.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge of basic reading, writing, and arithmetic.

    + Good manual dexterity skills, especially with small parts.

    + Ability to perform repetitive functions.

    + Effective communication skills.

    + Ability to interpret work orders, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.

    + Commitment to superior service and maintaining a positive company image.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School diploma or equivalent or 6-12 months of related experience.

    + Manufacturing experience is preferred.

    + Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform repetitive motions.

    + Experience with mechanical assembly is a plus.

    + Solid work history demonstrating stability with previous employers.

    This is a Contract position based out of Mcpherson, Kansas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
