Job Title: Lead Construction Technician
Job Description
Join a dynamic team dedicated to constructing and repairing modular office units designed for commercial construction job site use. As a Lead Construction Technician, you will oversee construction and maintenance projects, working with a skilled team to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. You will oversee and train up to three lesser-experienced construction and repair professionals on more advanced carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing issues that arise during the repair process.
Responsibilities
+ Construct and assemble modular office units according to blueprints and specifications.
+ Manage crews, set daily expectations, and tasks.
+ Ensure crew performance aligns with production goals.
+ Install walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural components.
+ Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
+ Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
+ Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to complete projects.
Essential Skills
+ Experience managing a crew of tradespeople.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
+ Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Good physical stamina and strength.
+ Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment
The team consists of 6-8 production associates, working in covered trailers and yard areas. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, providing a consistent schedule. The environment promotes cross-training and skill development across various systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
