    Job Title: Construction Laborer

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Construction Laborer at a cement plant in Greencastle, IN. This role involves performing various tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety in and around the plant. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform housekeeping duties using tools such as shovels, brooms, and trash bins to dispose of cement and dirt buildup.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the day.

    + Conduct safety checks on equipment at the beginning of each day, with training provided on documentation and submission of safety checklists.

    Essential Skills

    + Construction and general labor experience

    + Mechanical aptitude

    + Experience with electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting tasks

    + Proficiency in using hand tools

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

    + Ability to work different extended hours, holidays, and overtime as required

    + Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing

    + Ability to work independently or within a team

    + Comfortable working in various weather conditions

    + Capability to lift up to 75 lbs., sit/stand for extended periods, kneel, climb ladders, walk on different terrains, and work in confined spaces

    + Heavy equipment operating experience

    + OSHA Training (10 or 30 Hours)

    + MSHA Training

    + Any additional certifications

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment consists of both indoor and outdoor conditions, exposing employees to various weather elements. This hands-on laborer position requires individuals to be comfortable getting dirty while working.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greencastle, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
