Job Title: Commercial HVAC Installer

Job Description

The Commercial Duct Installer is responsible for installing, assembling, and laying out HVAC duct systems for commercial and industrial projects. This position requires reading and interpreting blueprints, following job site safety regulations, and working effectively as part of a team to ensure high-quality and timely installations.

Responsibilities

+ Install sheet metal ductwork, flex duct, and related HVAC systems in commercial buildings.

+ Interpret mechanical plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine duct layout and installation procedures.

+ Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork using hand and power tools (e.g., shears, drills, plasma cutters).

+ Secure to ceilings, walls, and floor duct systems using hangers, supports, and fasteners.

+ Install insulation, dampers, access doors, and fittings as required.

+ Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on site to meet deadlines.

+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and OSHA safety codes and procedures.

+ Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site.

+ Assist with startup and testing of duct systems when required.

+ Train and mentor apprentices or helper-level workers as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC duct installation.

+ Proficient with tools and equipment used in duct fabrication and installation.

+ Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and HVAC drawings.

+ Familiarity with duct pressure testing and code requirements.

The pay range for this position is $76000.00 - $104000.00/yr.
