Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for accurately measuring and cutting metal using a tape measure, loading trucks with prepared materials and products, and operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. You will use RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking, perform cycle counts to manage inventory accuracy, and safely operate side loaders, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment. Ensuring a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and surrounding areas are key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

+ Select orders using high reach/side loader forklift and sit-down forklift.

+ Sort and band material once picked.

+ Operate overhead crane as needed.

+ Engage in order selecting, maneuvering material, loading trucks, and banding metals.

+ Lift up to 55 lbs independently (team lift or forklift for heavier items).

+ Participate in training for tasks not already known.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in measuring and cutting metal.

+ Experience in warehouse and production environments.

+ Forklift operation and material handling skills.

+ Ability to operate RF scanners and manage cycle counts.

+ Knowledge of inventory management.

+ Experience with side loaders and overhead cranes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with forklifts, side loaders, and RF scanners is a plus.

Work Environment

You will be working in a clean, open-bay warehouse environment, on a 2nd shift schedule from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 52-55 hours weekly, with potential mandatory overtime on Saturdays. Initial training includes 2-3 weeks of classroom training and 3-4 weeks of hands-on training, with recertification on forklifts and overhead cranes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
