Job Title: Shipping Specialist

Job Description

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily receiving and shipping operations, including receiving materials, building boxes, shipping, loading and unloading trucks, handling crates, warehousing, and issuing materials required for manufacturing processes to shop personnel.

Responsibilities

+ Perform primary and back-up functions within the materials department according to the manufacturing schedule and workload.

+ Load and unload materials upon truck arrivals.

+ Receive materials into the ERP system, assign proper locations, and transfer materials to designated areas using forklifts, carts, or other means.

+ Conduct transactions in the ERP system for part location and material issuance to production jobs.

+ Pull and deliver materials required for Manufacturing, Assembly, and kits needed for shipping.

+ Build shipping crates and boxes, preparing materials for shipment.

+ Create shipping documents and schedule freight pick-ups.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

+ Attend regular safety training meetings.

+ Comply with company policies, emphasizing attendance and safety.

+ Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations and pursue continuous improvement in daily processes.

Essential Skills

+ 2-4 years of experience in the shipping/receiving department of a manufacturing facility.

+ Forklift experience.

+ Experience with overhead cranes.

+ Strong computer skills, including MS Office and email proficiency.

+ Ability to utilize Epicor software (training will be provided).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Work Environment

Work in a new, clean, and well-lit facility. The environment is not air-conditioned, so it may be hot during summer months. Safety gear, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses, is required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lebanon, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $37440.00/yr.
