Job Title: Software Test Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to collaborate with our Software Engineering and Hardware Engineering teams to bring next-generation wireless audio intercom communication systems to market. This role involves design verification and validation testing of new products prior to their release.
Responsibilities
+ Create and execute verification test plans, test cases, and test procedures from system and software level requirements. Write detailed reports on test results.
+ Develop both manual and computer scripted test procedures, and manage software and electrical test fixtures.
+ Perform integration, software application, and component level testing, with the ability to troubleshoot and triage failures at the system level.
+ Lead verification activities and be responsible for project-level verification deliverables.
Essential Skills
+ Embedded software expertise
+ Proficiency in Linux, C/C++, and software development
+ Experience with microcontrollers and networking protocols
+ Validation verification software tests
+ Systems requirements knowledge
+ Ability to write test cases
+ Python scripting skills
+ Firmware programming
+ Knowledge of i2c, ethernet, application software, and GUI development
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
+ 3 years of experience in verification test plans, test cases, and test procedures
+ 5+ years of experience creating both manual and scripted test procedures in Python
+ Experience as a verification specialist for the firmware engineering team
+ Cross-functional working experience with a strong software and systems skill set
+ Ability to write unit tests within firmware using Python or C/C++
+ Experience working at the application level, particularly with RF technologies
+ Experience in medical and defense industries (high regulatory environments)
+ Proficiency in C/C++ and RF

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
