    Job Title: Reliability Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to support a subcontractor at NASA Research Center in Cleveland, OH. This full-time onsite position is essential for identifying and managing asset reliability risks affecting Facility testing and operations. You will propose solutions to implement industry best practices for Operations Maintenance and support the evolution of NASA’s Computerized Maintenance Management System.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead efforts for asset data collection and validation, and develop job plans in collaboration with facility personnel.

    + Implement measures to baseline current maintenance performance and improvement targets regarding cost, quality, downtime.

    + Manage facility asset inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance programs, improving documentation in CMMS system.

    + Define, develop, and implement effective predictive and preventive maintenance programs for mechanical and electrical equipment.

    + Identify and evaluate new technologies for process performance improvement, equipment reliability, and maintenance frequency.

    + Document and improve equipment risk assessments to prioritize resources with NASA and contract management.

    + Use basic statistical tools to transition time-based maintenance to frequency-based maintenance or Reliability Centered Maintenance.

    + Collaborate with Facility Managers and Engineers to propose spare parts inventory optimizing business needs with cost outlay.

    + Support NASA’s CMMS technology advancements, including bar-coding, mobile operation, and machine status integration.

    + Utilize CMMS system to create metrics reports for performance evaluation and asset replacement versus life extension recommendations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology.

    + More than 3 years’ experience in maintenance is a plus.

    + Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems.

    + Experience in CMMS Systems (MAXIMO is a strong plus).

    + Familiarity with RCM approach and maintenance improvement tools.

    + Experience with technologies like Oil Sampling, Thermography, Vibration Monitoring, Ultrasound, Motor Circuit Analysis, Laser Alignment.

    Work Environment

    This position requires 100% onsite work from Monday to Friday, with core hours from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role involves both desk work and floor activities, with travel between facilities at Lewis Field in Cleveland and ATF in Sandusky. You will lead a small team including electrical technicians, vibration and thermal technicians, and other experienced personnel.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
