Job Title: Sheet Metal Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to help install, repair, and maintain HVAC plumbing systems and components. You will review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials, identify required tools and special equipment, and select the type and size of pipe required. This role requires you to locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures, and to install supports, hangers, valves, and fittings. You will also handle the installation, repair, and maintenance of water treatment equipment, piping, controls, underground storm sanitary and water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, conditioners, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim. Additionally, you will test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain all building codes, installation requirements, and relevant legislation.
+ Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.
+ Apply all codes to installations, repairs, and maintenance.
+ Ensure all requirements specified by manufacturers of systems and fixtures are met.
+ Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.
+ Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of appropriate codes and environmental protection requirements.
+ Administer and schedule work, prepare budgets, and prepare orders of supplies.
+ Keep daily reports and schedule work in cooperation with other trades and suppliers.
+ Perform other related duties as required.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction, plumbing, and blueprint reading.
+ Proficiency in general labor and installation tasks.
+ Knowledge of hand tools, piping, PVC, HVAC, commercial and new construction.
+ Expertise in water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
+ Understanding of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glasgow, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
