    Job Title: CNC Programmer and Operator

    Job Description

    As a CNC Programmer and Operator, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs specifically for extrusion tooling solutions. This role requires programming CNC mills and wire EDM machines to ensure precision and efficiency in tooling production. You will read and interpret technical drawings, select appropriate cutting tools, and troubleshoot any issues during the manufacturing process.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and optimize CNC programs for tooling solutions.

    + Program CNC mills and wire EDM machines for precision manufacturing.

    + Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.

    + Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the manufacturing process.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CNC programming software, such as CAM systems and G-code.

    + Strong ability to interpret technical drawings.

    + In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes.

    + Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting machinery.

    + Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

    + Familiarity with manual CNC programming and design techniques.

    + Capability in machining operations using mills and lathes.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is fast-paced, requiring mechanics to be decisive and proactive in problem-solving. The maintenance team plays a critical role, necessitating independent work and real-time decision-making. Long pants and a work shirt are standard attire. The manufacturing environment can be hot, reaching temperatures up to 110 degrees, especially during the summer months.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
