    Precision Racker - General Production

    Job Description

    The Precision Racker supports the Machine Operator by fixturing products onto designated racks to be washed and coated in the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) vacuum coating machines. This position is responsible for properly tagging, documenting, recording, and maintaining production logs.

     

    **1st Shift:** Mon-Fri: 5:15am-2:00pm

    Responsibilities

    + Understand the flow of production per PVD coating sequence.

    + Maintain work orders collected and processed completely, ensuring traceability of customer property.

    + Use extreme caution with customer products and tooling to avoid damage.

    + Learn proper fixturing techniques for placing parts on racks and un-racking parts per work order.

    + Select racks according to size, shape, and number of parts to be processed.

    + Manually transfer racked products, weighing up to 40 pounds, to automated cleaning baskets and carousels.

    + Visually inspect parts to verify finish complies with specifications.

    + Complete paperwork and tags for parts.

    + Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Hands-on and working knowledge of mechanical and computer-controlled machinery.

    + Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.

    + A sense of urgency and efficiency in all tasks.

    + Must have initiative and be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

    + Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.

    + Adaptability and flexibility when encountering problems.

    + Ability to communicate discrepancies to a team leader and solve problems and implement solutions.

    + Ability to follow instructions and adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe operation of lift trucks and machinery.

    + Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.

    + Ability to work overtime as needed.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1-2 years of experience performing similar work in a related field such as Manufacturing or a Machine Shop is preferred.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
