Job Title: Shift Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Shift Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing steel splitter equipment, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Your role will involve electrical troubleshooting and wiring for 120, 220, and 480V circuits, including three-phase motors. Additionally, you will work on mechanical components such as motors, gears, hydraulics, and pumps. The position requires welding and fabricating carts, guards, and miscellaneous materials for the plant, as well as some forklift repair.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct electrical troubleshooting and wiring for 120, 220, and 480V circuits.
+ Repair and maintain mechanical components including motors, gears, hydraulics, and pumps.
+ Perform welding and fabrication tasks to create and repair plant materials.
+ Repair forklifts and other material handling equipment.
+ Operate rigging equipment such as forklifts or overhead cranes for moving and installing machinery.
+ Load equipment onto trucks or trailers for transport.
+ Read and interpret electrical prints.
+ Use brake press machinery.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical troubleshooting and wiring skills.
+ Mechanical aptitude with motors, gears, and pumps.
+ Proficiency in welding and fabrication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with plastic injection equipment is a plus.
+ Brake Press experience is advantageous.

Work Environment
This position is based on the 1st shift, starting anywhere from 7am-9am, working a 10-hour shift to overlap with the 2nd shift. You will be traveling to Chicago or Detroit facilities for day trips, with expenses paid for any planned overnight trips. The work involves using rigging equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes, with a dress code that is suitable for industrial maintenance work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grandville, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
