Job Description
Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced chemistry lab, focusing on the testing of raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products. You will utilize analytical instrumentation and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, Company Quality Standards, and FDA/EU Guidelines.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct testing of raw materials and finished products utilizing analytical instrumentation.
+ Utilize Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
+ Ensure adherence to testing schedules to manage a high volume of critical work.
+ Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues to maintain efficient workflow.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with SOPs, CGMPs, and quality standards.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in HPLC, GC, Polarimeter, UV-VIS, and FTIR.
+ Strong documentation skills and organizational abilities.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
+ Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
+ 3+ years of experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory.
Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred.
+ Working knowledge of US and European pharmacopeia.
+ Familiarity with Word and Excel; experience with Water’s Empower data acquisition preferred.
+ Knowledge of human error awareness and prevention.
+ Skills in investigation and problem-solving.
Work Environment
Work in a FDA/USDA/EU regulated lab environment, with a team of about 30 people. The lab is divided into three areas: raw material testing, biological testing, and pharmaceutical testing. The role involves quality control of incoming raw materials and finished products. The work environment can be fast-paced and occasionally stressful due to turnaround times and deadlines. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
