Join our dedicated team committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our workforce. We are seeking an experienced Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to provide first aid and health guidance to associates. You'll play a crucial role in supporting our Workplace Health Safety team and working closely with site managers and specialists. Your passion for health and wellness will drive your daily interactions, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
+ Provide first aid support and refer associates to outside medical providers as necessary.
+ Minimize the risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.
+ Maintain accurate records of care provided to associates.
+ Coordinate and maintain workers' compensation and return-to-work programs for associates with work-related injuries.
+ Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
+ Engage with associates and leadership on the operations floor to coach on observed at-risk work habits.
+ Maintain a clean working environment and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory.
+ Participate in training and certification to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED classes.
+ Maintain all first aid, CPR, and AED credentials.
+ Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
+ Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.
+ Ensure effective care delivery in emergencies and assist with emergency response at the site.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
+ Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
+ Six months of job experience as a Combat Medic, Army Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician in the military.
+ Current active Athletic Trainer Certification by the Board of Certification or equivalent State Certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office.
+ Experience with an industrial wellness program.
+ Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching on body mechanics.
+ Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation.
+ Proficient in digital record keeping.
Work Environment
You will work within a dynamic and collaborative team environment. The role requires flexible shifts, including potential night shifts and weekend work. The initial training schedule is Monday to Friday, 0700 - 1530, followed by a regular shift schedule of Sunday to Wednesday, 1830 - 0500. This position involves working in an industrial setting and requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace with appropriate medical supply inventory.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
