    Job Title: Lab Technician Pay: $18 Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests and other lab work using both conventional and computerized machines. This role involves preparing and painting panels, conducting laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards, and determining chemical and physical characteristics or compositions. You will be responsible for setting up, readjusting, and operating laboratory equipment and instruments, formulating paints, and documenting and analyzing data. Some testing may be routine, including running physical tests on paints and wet chemistry tests such as viscosity, pH, and titrations. You will also be required to pour and mix paints, collaborating within a larger team.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct laboratory tests using conventional and computerized machines.

    + Prepare and paint panels.

    + Perform laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards.

    + Determine chemical and physical characteristics or compositions.

    + Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.

    + Formulate paints.

    + Document and analyze data.

    + Perform routine testing, including physical and wet chemistry tests like viscosity, pH, and titrations.

    + Pour and mix paints.

    + Collaborate with a larger team.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in laboratory work and chemistry.

    + Proficiency in wet chemistry and titration techniques.

    + Basic lab quality check techniques.

    + Understanding of quality control and GMP standards.

    + Knowledge of chemical and coating processes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Degreed or non-degreed candidates are welcome.

    + Highly prefer coatings knowledge, but open to strong candidates without it.

    + Organic Chemistry coursework is a plus.

    + Attention to detail and professionalism.

    + Basic lab knowledge and ability to perform basic lab tests.

    Work Environment

    You will be working in a lab environment from 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend work required. Occasionally, you may need to lift paint buckets weighing up to 50lbs. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced chemists and network with them, with ample room for growth into roles such as Lab Tech, Chemist I, Chemist II, Chemist III, or Lab Manager.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
