    Job Title: Aftermarket Sales and Steel Fabrication EstimatorJob Description

     

    This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, evenly divided between aftermarket sales and steel estimating. The role requires engaging with existing customers and discovering new prospects, focusing on selling replacement components manufactured within the industry. The individual will prepare quotes based on customer needs, including breakdown situations and preventative maintenance. Additionally, the role involves training to help understand component needs and questions to ask. The other half of the role is dedicated to quoting steel fabrication projects, including conveyor systems and structural steel work.

    Responsibilities

    + Engage with existing customers and identify new prospects for aftermarket sales.

    + Sell replacement components manufactured by other industry companies.

    + Prepare quotes based on customer needs, including breakdown situations and preventative maintenance.

    + Train and understand various components and necessary questions.

    + Quote steel fabrication projects, including conveyor systems and structural steel.

    + Operate independently once trained, rebuilding and growing the aftermarket business.

    + Explore opportunities to move into project management roles.

    Essential Skills

    + Advanced Excel proficiency, essential for the role, with complex function utilization.

    + Ability to navigate and utilize an internal system for parts and component selection.

    + Self-motivation and initiative to learn independently and explore resources.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with structural steel and conveyor systems.

    + Familiarity with structural components.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is a large square-footage assembly shop, offering a comprehensive project management experience from initial sale to full operation. The company provides an all-encompassing service, managing projects from selling to manufacturing and installation. The facility operates as a one-stop shop, ensuring projects are handled effectively from start to finish. With a history of dedicated employees since 1997, the role provides an opportunity to experience the entire process, from quoting to shipping equipment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
