    Quality Control Technician

    Job Description

    As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and quality of production records and labels. You will be responsible for creating labels for oil products, monitoring the flow of products, and conducting various tests in the lab to verify product quality. This role requires active participation on the production floor, performing frequent quality checks and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Check and verify production records and spot check labels.

    + Create labels for oil products and ensure accuracy.

    + Monitor the flow of products and take samples for quality testing.

    + Perform PV and OSI testing in the lab, as well as pH and density testing.

    + Oversee the production floor and conduct thorough quality checks.

    + Engage in frequent physical activities such as moving, standing, and lifting.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in quality control and laboratory procedures.

    + Proficiency in PV and OSI testing, and pH and density testing.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    + Competency in labeling, quality inspection, and food manufacturing.

    Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in food and beverage or quality lab preferred.

    + An associate degree in biotech or biology is preferred but not required.

    + Commitment to wearing proper PPE and adhering to safety protocols.

    Work Environment

    This position offers a 4-day work week, with a 2nd Shift schedule from 2:30 pm to 1 am, Monday through Thursday. You will spend 60% of your time working in the office with labels, 30% overseeing products on the production floor, and 10% in the lab. The work environment is a food-grade setting, climate-controlled, and requires attention to detail to prevent product recalls. PPE such as safety glasses, lab coats, respirators, and gloves are provided. The dress code includes no jewelry, jeans without holes, steel toe boots, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt without holes. Candidates should be comfortable with getting dirty as the manufacturing involves vegetable oil and dried goods products.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
