    Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description

     

    We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality before they are shipped to our customers. As a Quality Technician, you will promote quality standards, conduct tests and inspections, document and communicate findings, make recommendations for improvements, and support the team through action plans.

    Responsibilities

    + Support the development of quality systems for any existing products, new products, and/or technologies to ensure that the product meets customer needs.

    + Participate in, maintain, and recommend improvements to procedures/processes that support quality system requirements.

    + Promote a companywide customer-centric mindset, including participation in initiatives to engage and update decision makers.

    + Understand the customer's needs and translate them into a proactive support strategy.

    + Uncover actionable insights to improve customer experience, increase efficiency and effectiveness.

    + Serve as an escalation point for customers/employees with technical issues to ensure they are resolved quickly.

    + Participate in the development and assist with actions towards customer and internal corrective and preventative actions.

    + Administer/Participate in internal communications (written/verbally/in-person) to help interpret data, escalate issues, and drive action items.

    + Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including, but not limited to, failed processes, stability studies, recalls, and corrective actions for consumption by customers, employees, and all levels of the management team.

    + Conduct audits of processes, perform testing and inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure that they meet our quality standards.

    + Exercise Statistical Process Control through data entry, modifications, analysis, interpretation, and reporting to drive improvements, reduce variation, and tighten processes.

    Essential Skills

    + 3 years of Quality Experience in a manufacturing company.

    + SPC experience.

    + Advanced Excel skills.

    + Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.

    + Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical drawings, and specifications.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, escalate, and document quality issues.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

    + 3-4 years of experience in a quality assurance role preferred.

    Work Environment

    This position is based in a plastics manufacturing shop. The role involves working 50% of the time on the floor and 50% in an office. The dress code is casual, and the position operates on a first-shift schedule.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48000.00 - $54000.00/yr.
