Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee projects in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing commercial projects up to $500k, with a strong background in Mechanical Construction and a focus on Plumbing. Projects will include multi-family buildings, supermarkets, strip malls, urgent care centers, coffee shops, and car dealerships.
Responsibilities
+ Manage permit applications and coordinate with permit offices for inspections and approvals.
+ Collaborate with General Contractors to review project specifications and modifications.
+ Oversee the RFI process, ensuring timely responses and maintaining RFI Logs.
+ Handle material management including requesting quotes, ordering, maintaining lists, understanding lead times, reviewing invoices, and planning needs.
+ Verify warranty eligibility, request replacements, and track warranty claims.
+ Create and update proposal templates, write change orders, and assemble submittal packages.
Essential Skills
+ Experience managing projects up to $500k.
+ Strong project management skills.
+ Plumbing experience.
+ Experience with submittals/RFI's and change orders.
+ Background in construction estimation and mechanical engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of experience in the field.
+ Master Electrician License is a plus.
+ Mechanical background with a preference for Plumbing.
Work Environment
This is a small company with around 10 employees, offering a close-knit work environment where each team member's contributions are valued. The role requires working in the office five days a week. The position is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to hire, offering benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
