• Manufacturing Engineer

    Actalent (Fountain Inn, SC)


    Description

    + Design, program, and maintain control systems (PLC, HMI, sensors, etc.) for injection molding and assembly equipment.

    + Optimize injection molding processes to meet automotive quality, cost, and delivery targets.

    + Lead troubleshooting efforts for molding and automation equipment to minimize downtime and scrap.

    + Collaborate with product development, quality, and maintenance teams to support new vehicle programs and engineering changes.

    + Implement and sustain lean manufacturing initiatives such as Poka-Yoke, SMED, and Kaizen events.

    + Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant automotive standards.

    + Support APQP activities including PFMEA, control plans, and process validation.

    + Manage capital equipment projects from specification through installation and commissioning.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    6-axis robotics experience required

     

    BS degree required

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
