Job Title: Chemistry Lab TechnicianJob Description

Join our team as a Chemistry Lab Technician where you will play a vital role in nutritional testing and chemical analysis. Contribute to the development and improvement of high-quality chemical products in a dynamic lab environment at a food manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct nutritional testing including moisture, ash, fats, and salts analysis.

+ Work with acids and petroleum ether for various laboratory procedures.

+ Prepare, weigh, and utilize solutions for chemical analysis.

+ Analyze chemical substances to identify their composition.

+ Run tests to improve the quality of chemical products.

+ Conduct tests for chemical ingredients, substances, and materials.

+ Accept samples, prepare media, and perform microbiological and chemical analysis.

+ Evaluate results of raw material and finished product samples.

+ Conduct shelf life studies, microbiological, chemical, and sensory analysis on raw materials, semi-processed, and finished products.

+ Create Certificates of Analysis.

+ Collaborate with R&D for developing shelf life studies and setting up new products.

Essential Skills

+ 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.

+ Degree in Chemistry preferred; Biology or related science considered.

+ Understanding of basic principles of biochemistry, organic, and inorganic chemistry.

+ Basic knowledge of microbiology.

+ Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong team player with organizational skills.

+ Mathematical aptitude with analytical proficiency.

+ Professional communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in an analytical food industry laboratory preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The role is based in a lab environment at a food manufacturing plant, operating first shift hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
