The Treatment Coordinator will join a dynamic Faculty Dentistry team comprising 4-5 providers daily alongside 7-9 Dental Assistants. This role is integral to supporting the dental practice by efficiently managing patient flow, coordinating treatments, and facilitating communication between patients and staff.
Responsibilities
+ Manage patient flow and coordinate treatment schedules.
+ Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans.
+ Collect and record patient demographic information.
+ Coordinate with appropriate departments concerning patient treatments.
+ Handle phone calls and schedule patient appointments.
+ Conduct chart audits and generate patient recall lists.
+ Provide coverage at the lobby desk and during patient check-in.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in X-ray and radiography.
+ Certified orthodontist assistant experience.
+ Dental assisting and treatment coordination expertise.
+ Strong communication and organizational skills.
+ Bilingual in Spanish, capable of interacting with Spanish-speaking patients.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Experience as a Treatment Coordinator, preferably in a dental setting.
+ Medical/Dental front office/desk experience preferred.
+ Dental assistant certification preferred but not required.
+ 2+ years of experience in a dental or healthcare setting.
Work Environment
The Treatment Coordinator will work in a private practice setting with 4-5 providers at any given time, managing a patient load of 30-40 patients in both morning and afternoon sessions. The schedule includes Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch, and Friday from 7 AM to 2 PM or 8 AM to 3 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
