As a Civil Designer, you will utilize AutoDesk Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other civil engineering software to develop technically accurate and high-quality deliverables. You will assist in the development of stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and construction plans under the guidance of a Professional Engineer. Your ability to analyze design alternatives will be crucial in finding cost-effective solutions to project challenges. The role involves coordinating the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets, promoting quality assurance and control processes, and researching design standards and regulations for compliance.
Responsibilities
+ Develop technically accurate deliverables using AutoDesk Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and related software.
+ Assist in stormwater management, erosion control, and construction plan development.
+ Analyze design alternatives to provide cost-effective solutions.
+ Coordinate preparation of advanced drawing sets for projects.
+ Promote and support quality assurance and control processes.
+ Research and interpret design standards, regulations, and permit requirements.
+ Assist with design calculations, quantity calculations, and cost estimates.
+ Enhance overall team efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience in land development.
+ Proficiency in Civil 3D (7/10 rating).
+ Experience in commercial or residential projects involving plan writing.
+ At least 2 years of project grading experience.
+ Minimum 2 years of utility design experience (water and sewer).
+ At least 5 years of experience working on projects in Arizona.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate degree in a relevant field.
+ Experience in hydrology, drainage, and mentoring.
+ Engineer in Training (E.I.T) certification.
+ Ideally, 60% of past projects in commercial space such as apartments, storage facilities, and schools.
Work Environment
The work schedule includes in-person office work from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays being remote. Employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and more starting the first of the month following the date of hire. Eligibility for the 401K begins after 30 days of employment, with a company match of 50% up to 6% of the salary. The Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is available after 1 year and 1000 hours of service. Employees accrue PTO on a monthly basis, with the ability to carry over up to 120 hours to the following year. The company observes nine paid holidays each year with alternative options available for religious observations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
