    The chemist will be responsible for testing finished products, raw materials, in-process samples, components, and stability study samples. Primarily, the focus will be on testing new ANDA Oral Dose products, including oral rinses and antiseptics, using techniques such as titrations, pH measurement, specific gravity, and HPLC within the Quality Control (QC) department as required.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct daily tests using HPLC, GC, TOC, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and pH meters.

    + Inspect supplies and ingredients used for the production of pharmaceutical products.

    + Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and lab protocols for accuracy.

    + Perform some instrument validation.

    + Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FDA guidelines.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 1 year experience with HPLC.

    + Bachelor's degree with a major in Chemistry.

    + Hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry with techniques such as GC, HPLC, FTIR, and wet chemistry (titration).

    + Good working knowledge of GMP and GDP.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + One or two years of pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

    + Proficiency in Agilent OpenLab software is preferred.

    + Good handwriting for laboratory notebook documentation.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a QC Lab at a pharmaceutical company specializing in oral rinse and antiseptic solutions, as well as other pharma products. Work mainly involves the ANDA new products within the Oral Dose division. The work schedule is during the 1st shift, from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
