    Embedded Software Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer who will design, develop, and test C++ software for complex embedded radar systems, primarily focusing on Air-to-Air applications. This role involves supporting the design, development, and implementation of real-time processing solutions in software for advanced multi-function radar systems. Current projects include programs for airborne and space RF sensors and advanced operations enabled by multi-function, multi-modal capabilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Support development of innovative radar/EW systems through implementation of digital signal processing.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and develop system requirements and specifications.

    + Design and implement signal processing and software solutions.

    + Conduct performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate and optimize system performance.

    + Prepare documentation, design specifications, test plans, and reports.

    + Support development of system architecture and implement the design to meet the architecture.

    + Near term tasking may relate to RF systems for airborne applications, with flexibility to be tasked on other applications as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Demonstrated experience implementing real-time signal processing solutions in C++ (C++17 or later).

    + Working knowledge of digital signal processing.

    + Familiarity with embedded development; experience with RFSoC platforms is a plus.

    + Demonstrated experience in delivery of advanced development hardware.

    + Capable of effectively working in a team environment, often under tight deadlines.

    + Experience in preparing and delivering briefings, familiarity with the execution of technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, TIMS).

    + Background should include a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of applicable experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.

    Desired Skills & Qualifications

    + Applicable understanding of and experience with radar systems and their principles of design, development, requirements verification, test planning, test execution, and data analysis.

    + Experience with algorithm implementation in software for real-time systems, especially radar and/or remote sensing.

    + CUDA experience preferred.

    + Proficiency in radar simulation tools (MATLAB).

    + Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

    + Applicable domain experience in one or more areas such as Electronic Warfare, Sensor Resource Management, Large-Scale Platform Test Systems, Cyber Physical Systems, Open System Architectures (UCI, OMS, COARPS).

    Work Environment

    The role is based in Dayton, OH, with a hybrid work environment. Typical business hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility as long as work is completed.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $50.00/hr.
