    Job Description

    As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding various types of steel and alloys to create playground equipment. The materials primarily include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, black steel, and alloys, with thinner gauges up to 1/8" thick, requiring precision due to their sensitivity. You will work off blueprints, and although there are employees who set the materials into fixtures, you will be required to move these fixtures into your welding bay, involving lifting up to 50 lbs.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform MIG welding on various steel types including stainless steel, aluminum, and black steel.

    + Read and interpret blueprints for accurate welding tasks.

    + Move fixtures into the welding bay, requiring lifting of up to 50 lbs.

    + Ensure precision in welding thinner gauges of materials up to 1/8" thick.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of recent experience or equivalent schooling in MIG welding.

    + Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, subject to testing.

    + Proficient in using tape measures to 1/32" accuracy.

    + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs without restrictions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2 Year Welding Degree.

    + Experience in pipe welding.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delano, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
