Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic 1st or 3rd shift 2-2-3-3
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment. This includes performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the continuous operation of converting equipment and lines. The role also involves participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives and implementing technical solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and determine issues with equipment.
+ Ensure converting equipment and lines run continuously.
+ Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
+ Perform repairs and implement technical solutions.
+ Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
+ 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors.
+ Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is a plus.
+ Must have a high school diploma or GED.
+ Prefer 3+ years working in a GMP environment.
+ Computer proficiency in MS Office.
+ Minimum 5 years related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility is preferred.

Work Environment
The facility operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers, running around the clock, five days a week, with distribution occurring nationwide seven days a week. As a liquid filling facility, it prefers candidates with a background in liquid filling or packaging. Experience in the food and beverage industry is advantageous due to FDA regulations. Be prepared for strong odors, such as mouthwash, lotion, or alcohol, depending on the department.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
