Job Title: EVS Housekeeping

Job Description

Perform routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities include high/low dusting, cleaning walls, ceilings, vents, lighting fixtures, restroom facilities, and floor care. You will also be responsible for removing and transporting trash and medical infectious waste, moving furniture and other equipment, and cleaning various areas such as the emergency room, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, exam rooms, and more.

Responsibilities

+ Execute high and low dusting, wall, ceiling, vent, and lighting cleaning.

+ Maintain cleanliness of restroom facilities and perform comprehensive floor care.

+ Safely remove and transport trash and medical infectious waste.

+ Move furniture and equipment as required.

+ Clean diverse areas including emergency rooms, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, and exam rooms.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

+ Capacity to stand for 8 hours continuously.

+ Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, hearing, and comprehending English.

+ Stable work history with job tenure of at least 6 months at each position.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Preferred six months of experience in cleaning/housekeeping roles.

+ Experience in roles such as housekeeper, janitor, environmental services, caregiver, or custodian.

Work Environment

Work at Kenosha Medical Center and St. Catherine's in Kenosha, WI, in an environment where you will interact with patients and hospital staff. Be prepared for frequent exposure to medical infectious waste and the physical demands of moving heavy objects, equipment, and furniture. The role requires continuous physical position changes, frequent kneeling, stooping, climbing stepladders, and repetitive hand/arm motions. Occasionally, there may be exposure to exposed patient body parts.

This is a Contract position based out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00/hr.
