    Job Title: Site Lead 100% TRAVEL $37 PLUS AN HOUR, 40-45HRS OT A WEEK AVAILABILITY - 1.5x on OT

    Job Description

    We are looking for a talented Site Lead to manage and direct the daily activities of our on-site mechanical and controls technicians. The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between the on-site team and the Field Project Manager, ensuring clear communication and project alignment. This role involves overseeing installations and maintenance activities to meet project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Direct and manage the day-to-day activities of on-site mechanical and controls technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

    + Act as the primary liaison between the on-site team and the Field Project Manager, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.

    + Ensure all installations and maintenance activities meet project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

    + Supervise and coordinate the training and instruction of technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

    + Oversee project schedule, making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and reporting daily/weekly progress to the Field Project Manager.

    + Manage hours worked by the team to stay within the project's scope and budget.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical issues promptly.

    + Plan and schedule project tasks in alignment with the milestone installation timeline(s), assigning responsibilities to ensure efficient completion of the project milestones.

    + Train and mentor team members in best practices for conveyor system installation and maintenance.

    + Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring a professional work environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Field service experience with Conveyor Systems.

    + PLC knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

    + Experience in construction, electrical systems, and conveyance systems.

    + Proficiency in installation, decommission, and preventive maintenance.

    + Experience traveling 100% for project needs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certifications preferred.

    + Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurance policy requirements.

    + 7+ years of experience in a supervisory role within the mechanical and electrical installation field, preferably in the conveyor industry.

    + Demonstrated leadership ability in managing field service teams and ensuring project success.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.

    + Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing internal and external relationships effectively.

    + Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and familiarity with Autodesk products, ERP, and CRM systems.

    + Willingness to travel to client sites frequently, up to 90%.

    Work Environment

     

    This role involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts with a moderate noise level, requiring compliance with OSHA safety standards. Work will primarily take place in Amazon facilities, adhering to their EH&S requirements. The position demands the ability to use hand and power tools, lift items up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and operate fork and scissor lifts safely.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Clinton, Ohio

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
