Job Title: Facilities Technician

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Facilities Technician operates and performs routine troubleshooting and repair of all packaging equipment and systems. This role includes conducting packaging line changeovers and mechanical setup of all packaging equipment according to the packaging schedule.

Responsibilities

+ Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, as well as state, federal, and local laws.

+ Perform routine troubleshooting and repairs of packaging and processing equipment, and mechanical control systems.

+ Execute packaging line setups and changeovers.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical expertise

+ Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics

+ Experience in machine setup and packaging line operations

+ Maintenance repair skills

+ Troubleshooting capabilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to perform accurate documentation with legible handwriting

+ Good basic math skills including counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing

+ Organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously

+ Mechanical orientation with understanding of common tools and operation of PLCs

+ Familiarity with equipment systems operating on utilities like compressed air, electrical supply, vacuum, steam, chilled water

+ Basic computer skills including data entry

+ Education: Associate degree or High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment

Work in a sterile, cleanroom environment with three shifts. Air conditioning is provided. Day Blocks include A (Sun-Thursday) and B (Tues-Sat). Shifts are 1st shift from 7-3:30pm, 2nd shift from 3pm-11:30pm, and 3rd shift from 11pm-7:30am. GMP training is conducted on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 8-5pm, during the first week, transitioning to your specific shift by Thursday on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MIRAMAR, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
