Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk with 1-2+ years of experience in FedEx or UPS packaging. Our team is currently adapting to a new SAP system, which has increased our administrative workload. The ideal candidate will have experience in stockroom, warehouse, and shipping environments, and a strong aptitude for computers.

Responsibilities

+ Review the shipping floor for status updates.

+ Perform daily safety checks.

+ Evaluate and address issues in the subcontract area.

+ Package items in small, medium, and large areas.

+ Route packages through FedEx and UPS stations.

+ Close orders for invoicing.

+ Process international shipments for small and medium packaging areas.

+ Load trucks for outgoing shipments.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with warehouse shipping and logistics.

+ Proficiency in inventory control and general labor.

+ Ability to operate a forklift and perform picking and packing tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ At least one year of experience in shipping/material handling.

+ At least one year of experience in manufacturing.

+ Experience with forklift and overhead crane operations.

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

+ Strong computer skills and basic math proficiency.

+ Ability to lift or move heavy materials in challenging positions.

+ Steel toe/composite toe shoes required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
